Duke d’Orleans, A Shy One At the Orgy – II

He worked hard and he partied the same way. And he never mixed his business and pleasure. It was said about him that he could loose his head but never a secret. Perhaps this had something to do with the upbringing; the duke’s mentor, Cardinal Dubois was the same way. During the regency women tried to use the cardinal, but without much success. One time d’Auvergene went to see him over some business deal and he plainly told her to get screwed. The upset princess complained to the Regent. “It is true,” said d’Orleans, “the cardinal can get a little rude, but he still gives a good advice.” (Continued-1), (Continued-3), (Continued-4), (Continued-5)
