Louis-Louis! Better Than Jeff Koons

Better than Jeff Koons! Yes, this is what I thought when I saw this four-inch ceramic piece at Sèvres Museum. I always had a lot of respect for Louis XV, but now it feels more like admiration, for kitsch is… we know what it is, it’s the art of obvious, of banal; and so, I want to see them do it right: Louis, my man, you are the pimp! Those people were proud to be your  subjects! Hell, I am proud of them being proud, etc. But enough of this, let me dust off my knees…
