Tick-Tack Tactique

For twenty years, that is from the time he stole it, till the day of his death, Naaman Diller played with the watch of Marie-Antoinette: the police reports that they have received the burglar’s instructions on how to take apart Breguet 106 and clean it. Imagine a tower clock made portable, so complex is the mechanism; the self-wound watch was intended as a present from Axel Fersen to the Queen and is an unsurpassed masterpiece of XVIII century mechanical engineering: it features a calendar, thermometer, chronograph, power reserve, parachute, minute repeater. The watch’s value is roughly 30 million dollars, but Mr Diller was no ordinary thief, his police record states that he was primarily interested in complexity of crime and rarely motivated by profit.
